Case Study #1 for Orlando Regional Healthcare System
 

Our management of key enterprise upgrades has proven to be one of our biggest success stories. Ensource has provided the technical staff and managers on several key installation projects. This has allowed customers to have the technological expertise to complete projects in a timely efficient manner with existing staff.

Challenge: Orlando Regional Medical Center had just two weeks to complete a key business initiative, a connectivity project that would tie together its organization to a newly acquired competitive cross-town facility, Lucerne Hospital. The project had to be completed in a two-week time frame to allow the time clocks to function at the nurseþs desk in the separate facilities.

Solution: Ensource provided a multi-mode fiber link between the facilities, connected a Flex to the main switch and allowed Lucerne employees to clock into ORHS facility. The team at Ensource was able to ÿconnect the enterprise€ and complete the project in less than two weeks, meeting what everyone had believed was an impossible deadline.

Challenge: Sand lake Hospital needed a new communications platform .The old system was not Y2k compliant .The hospital has a partnership with the local Bell operating company and is restricted in it actions based on those contracted arrangements .The management of the hospital were informed that there was no way that the project could be completed in the allotted time using their RBOC partner.

Solution: After purchasing the equipment from BellSouth, ORHS looked to Ensource for project management to collect database, coordinate the installation schedule, end user training and provide leadership for its switch upgrade.   Ensource worked closely with BellSouth and hospital staff in implementing the switch installation.  This project was completed a head of schedule with no down time to the customer.

Another proven resource that Ensource provides is the expertise to maximize our partner's existing assets, which helps utilize equipment to its fullest potential throughout its life cycle.  Our repair facility provides our customers with timely repairs, reconditioned equipment and quick turnaround. 

Challenge: Expand and extend the life of existing customer assets.

Solution:  Ensource has provided the expertise and equipment for several switch expansions at Orlando Regional Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital, Boca Raton Medical Center and the College of William and Mary.  This has allowed our customers to increase the life cycle of their communications network and provide critical growth for their facilities.
